Anne Fontaine's Exquisite Contribution to Conservation at Prince Albert II de Monaco Gala

In an evening that seamlessly wove together the elegance of haute couture and the poignant message of environmental conservation, Anne Fontaine presented her exclusive collection at the Prince Albert II de Monaco’s gala. This significant event, hosted on November 27, 2024, at the spectacular Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore, marked the second occasion La Maison Anne Fontaine was chosen to grace this prestigious bi-annual ball.

The collaboration between Anne Fontaine and the Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco, symbolizes a mutual commitment to environmental conservation, glacier protection, and the vision of securing a sustainable future for the coming generations. These are causes deeply etched in Anne’s heart, driving her to not only participate in this gala but to infuse the event with her unique blend of fashion that speaks volumes on sustainability.

This year, Anne’s focus was crystal clear — to highlight the importance of protecting our oceans for future generations. Embracing a generational approach, Anne and her daughter Clara Fontaine co-created the Agata Corset, a masterpiece which symbolizes their shared commitment to environmental preservation. "Working alongside your child is a magnificent journey," reflected Anne, visibly moved by the collaboration. Clara added, "Being part of our family legacy with my mother is a privilege." It’s their maiden venture together in fashion, one that promises to leave an indelible mark.

For the gala in Singapore, Anne embarked on the development of innovative materials that evoke the fragile beauty of glaciers and icebergs, crucial elements in maintaining our global ecosystem’s balance. Anne’s decision to don a glossy white couture Agata corset, alongside the unveiling of a glistening silver variant during the fashion show, encapsulated their homage to the earth’s polar regions.

In a gesture of profound generosity, Anne Fontaine donated an exquisitely crafted haute couture corset, finished in polished gold, to the gala’s auction. The proceeds from this auction directly support the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco, championing its commitment to environmental causes.

Anne would like to extend heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to key figures such as Jacky Deromedi, President of the Foundation for Asia, and Sophie Arnaud-Deromedi, Creator of BALL IN MONACO - President of Adstoria. Their tremendous efforts culminated in a spectacular event that raised over $5 million for the foundation, showcasing the power of collective action in fostering change.

Echoing through the night was Anne’s powerful reminder, “Remember, we are all custodians of the planet. We are all responsible for making choices that ultimately respect the health of our world and oceans.” This message, coupled with the resplendent showcase of sustainable fashion, underscored the essence of the gala — a harmonious blend of luxury and stewardship of the Earth.

As the event drew to a close, the true measure of its success extended beyond the financial contributions; it was the reinforced pledge among attendees, galvanized by the Foundation's mission. The message was clear and compelling: through the conduit of ethical fashion, symbolized by the evening's display, we hold the collective power to induce significant, positive transformations for the health and longevity of our planet.
