Our Philosophy

Anne Fontaine’s vision since the beginning has always been to design beautiful and elegant clothing made for the modern woman - it has been our mission to design products of quality that combine materials and fabrics known to last which lessens the need to frequently replace key items in your wardrobe.

Each piece is methodically designed to imbue the essence and allure of femininity and is inspired by the natural beauty and rhythm of our planet.

Our designer, Anne Fontaine believes that a business can only sustain with the consideration and respect of human rights and the protection of the environment. The brand was built on the foundation of these core beliefs – and as a team we share and cherish these values.

While as a business we will never be perfect – we are always striving to do better and continuously focus on ways to improve our impact on the planet. We aim to raise the bar not only for ourselves but also for those around us as we engage with those at the center of our eco system – to share our values with our partners, employees, and customers.

Anne Fontaine remains committed to leaving the world better than we found it.

A Message from Designer Anne Fontaine

The ANNE FONTAINE Foundation

The Anne Fontaine Foundation was created in 2011 by Anne Fontaine, following her unique experience living in the Amazon Forest when she was 17. This time spent in another world changed her vision of life and laid the path for the creation of the Foundation, with its key mission focused on the reforestation and protection of the Mata Atlântica.

The Mata Atlântica, or Brazilian Atlantic rainforest, is a narrow “green” corridor stretching down the coast from North Brazil to Uruguay. Threatened by deforestation,  today one of the most endangered forests in the world, with only 7% of its original surface left. It is one of the most important biodiversity reservoirs on Earth hosting 20,000 plant species and 2315 animal species, many of which are endemic.

Our Mission

The Anne Fontaine Foundation aims towards raising awareness about environmental issues through eco-friendly art and fashion – the primary goal is the reforestation and protection of the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlântica).

Principles Of Action:

  • Provide financial support for protection and reforestation implemented by local NGOs recognized and active on the ground.
  • Raise awareness of customers and public opinion in general on the need to preserve and restore tropical forests.
  • Promote sustainable development as a corporate responsibility.

Our Initiatives

An annual celebration of is recognized by the ANNE FONTAINE brand – in honor of this day 100% of the global sales are donated to the Foundation.

Designer Anne Fontaine created a series of recycled EcoBags to encourage our customers to reduce their use of packaging when shopping – with each sale of an EcoBag 100% of the proceeds is directly donated to the ANNE FONTAINE FOUNDATION.

These unique bags are produced in compliance with environmental standards.
