As the sun breaks and a new day emerges - the soft sound of the breaking waves usher in the soundtrack for the new 2022 Cruise Collection.
This season’s collection is set along a stretch of the Atlantic coastline in France’s Basque country of Biarritz. The unique mix of Biarritz’s architecture combines Art Deco, Neo-Basque and Neo-Norman styles to create a place where delicacy and structure converge in an authentic and inspirational backdrop for the new season.
Designer Anne Fontaine’s inspiration was drawn from the strong, joyful, imperial character Empress Eugenie who spent her holidays in this paradisal place. Like her other muses, Anne Fontaine showcases her admiration of femininity and strength of this historical figure expressed through her idyllic staples made for the modern woman.
The high aesthetics and functionality of Biarritz is seen throughout the new collection softly interpreted through diaphanous silhouettes painted with monochrome florals and tailored separates in coastal blues.
