Where do you draw inspiration from?
I’m definitely inspired by other fashion bloggers but also from the 60’s and 70’s – I love the shapeless shift dresses and slim fit crops of the 60’s and the bright colors and women’s suiting of the 70’s. Fashion is so exciting because it never gets old, even when it’s “vintage.” There’s always a way to reinvent a look and to take something old and make it new again by incorporating current pieces.

What is a must have every woman should have in their wardrobe?
It’s so cliché, but a little black dress! There is nothing more classic and universally acceptable than a chic little black number. It’s timeless and can be adapted to fit nearly any occasion from a first date to a job interview.

What is your favorite season for fashion, and why?
I love winter fashion for so many reasons! There’s something magical about styling looks for holiday. I feel like this is the time of the year when there aren’t any rules and if you feel like wearing sequins, velvet and leather all in the same look (and who doesn’t?), then it’s totally acceptable. Unfortunately, living in a humid climate with 80-degree winters limits you a bit creatively but thankfully I’m able to experiment with holiday looks on the blog! .

Describe how did you first get into blogging?
I have loved fashion and playing “dress up” since I was young and had thought about starting a blog years before I actually did. I started to receive so many questions from people about what I wore and I found that I absolutely loved sharing ideas, my favorite places to shop, etc. so I decided that starting a fashion blog should be the next step to reach a broader audience. I’m a pretty reserved, shy person so it took a lot of courage and even more support from friends and family to finally make The Stone File a reality, but it is by far the best decision I’ve ever made.

What would you say that is the biggest challenge about fashion blogging?
One of the biggest challenge’s is definitely trying to balance a “9-5” job during the day with blogging. I hope to one day pursue blogging full-time but, for now, I love my “day job” and feel like it enhances my life. Sometimes it’s incredibly stressful and I wonder how I’m going to get everything done but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
