How would you describe your style?
Somewhat eclectic. I like to mix classic looks with unexpected pieces. A bit preppy, with elements of western and rocker-chic. My style has become a bit more practical since I became a mom, but I still love to dress up.

What inspired you to start blogging?
Back in 2008 when I started, personal style blogging was a relatively new thing. I felt like D.C. was underrepresented as a fashionable city and I wanted to show that D.C. is actually a very stylish and dynamic city. I currently work as a marketing executive for a software company, so blogging is my creative outlet.

Where do you look to for fashion inspiration?
Definitely the internet, but it could come from anywhere - people on the street, vintage photographs (I have a trove on Tumblr), art, family, and stylish friends - I'm always looking at what people are wearing.

What are your favorite Anne Fontaine pieces to style from day to night?
The MORGAN pants are perfect for the office, but look equally fabulous when dressed up with a delicate silk blouse like the ADELINE. A quick and easy way to transition the MORGAN pants from day to night is to layer on gold accessories and add a fun pair of heels. .

What would you say is the greatest reward from being a fashion blogger?
Getting to work with brands that I've loved and admired for a long time (like Anne Fontaine), emerging designers, and fellow creatives. It's such a dream being able to collaborate with people in the fashion industry, who I never would have met without the blog.

What is a must have every woman should have in their wardrobe?
A great pair of pants. I think every woman dreads pant shopping, but having a pair that fits great is so important. Fun tops come and go with the trends, but a perfect pair of pants is something you'll wear for years.
